Gold Coast 99 def Brisbane 89 — Watch the Replay

Gold Coast Rollers secured a hard-fought 99-89 victory against Brisbane Capitals at Carrara Stadium in a contest that featured outstanding individual performances. Juna Umezawa posted a dominant double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds on an efficient 56 percent shooting from the field, while Nyah Morris and Tera Reed each contributed 19 points for the Rollers. For Brisbane, Ashley Arlen delivered a spectacular 40-point performance, shooting 15-from-25 from the field including 5-from-8 from beyond the arc.

Despite Arlen's heroics, Gold Coast's balanced attack proved too much for Brisbane, with Emma Petrie adding 18 points on 75 percent shooting. The Rollers shot an impressive 57 percent from the field and connected on 50 percent of their three-point attempts. The game featured 13 lead changes, but Gold Coast pulled away in the final quarter, stretching their lead to as many as 20 points during their biggest scoring run of 12 consecutive points.

Southern Districts Spartans claimed a convincing 86-68 win against Northside Wizards at Northside Indoor Sports Centre, showcasing their defensive prowess by forcing 27 turnovers. Taylah Simmons led the Spartans with an all-round performance of 22 points, eight rebounds, and four steals on 47 percent shooting, while Odette Isaac added 19 points on an exceptional 66 percent from the field, including 3-from-5 from three-point range.

Northside's Cierra Walker fought valiantly with a game-high 22 points, including 5-from-10 from three-point territory, and Alice O'Driscoll recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. However, Southern Districts dominated the points in the paint (44-24) and capitalised on Northside's miscues, scoring 16 points off turnovers. The Spartans' bench depth was evident as they controlled the glass with 19 offensive rebounds, leading to crucial second-chance opportunities throughout the contest.

Logan Thunder claimed a thrilling 89-86 victory over Rockhampton Cyclones at Bravus Arena in a contest that featured 16 lead changes. Amandine Toi starred for Logan with 26 points on exceptional 61 percent shooting, including 5-from-8 from beyond the arc, while Leah Scott recorded a double-double with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and five steals. Kendell Heremaia added 20 points off the bench, connecting on 4-from-6 three-pointers.

Rockhampton was led by Chelsey Perry's 20 points and eight rebounds, with Moira Joiner delivering a near triple-double of 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists along with four steals. The Thunder's superior three-point shooting proved decisive, as they connected on 12-from-26 (46 percent) compared to Rockhampton's 9-from-31 (29 percent). Logan point guard Mikhaela Cann orchestrated the offense brilliantly with 11 assists, helping the Thunder overcome 19 turnovers to secure the narrow win.

Cairns Dolphins dominated SW Metro Pirates 95-63 at Hibiscus Sports Stadium, with Leichan Williams posting a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds on a perfect 9-from-12 shooting from the field. Taryn Bond added 19 points, including 3-from-5 from three-point range, while Mia Loyd contributed 18 points and six rebounds, shooting an efficient 9-from-16 from the field.

The Dolphins showcased their offensive firepower by shooting 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range, while limiting SW Metro to just 32 percent shooting overall and a dismal 15 percent from beyond the arc. Cairns dominated the glass with a 47-35 rebounding advantage and controlled the paint with 50 points inside compared to SW Metro's 32. Grace Champion led the Pirates with 15 points, but the visitors couldn't overcome Cairns' balanced attack and stifling defense, which forced 20 turnovers and led to the Dolphins building a commanding 33-point lead.
